What are the plans for Barkus this year?
Rather than parading on Sunday on February 7, 2021 due to the pandemic, there will be a virtual experience that allows everyone to enjoy the sights of Barkus dogs and their humans safely from home.
Will this be a live event?
Yes. The event will be live on Zoom and will also feature some new interviews, video from years past and a slide show of dogs in costume. To submit a photo of your dog click here!
Is there a deadline for uploading pictures for the virtual parade?
Yes. All photos for the parade day slide show is Sunday, January 31st. To submit a photo of your dog click here!
Are there specs for submitting pictures?
High resolution photos are preferred (i.e. a photo from an Android or iPhone that is not older than 5 years). To submit a photo of your dog click here!
Are you accepting video too?
Unfortunately we are not accepting individual dog videos. However, if you have any footage from past Barkus parades we would be glad to incorporate it into the Zoom. For this please contact us at info@barkus.org
What is the cost?
There is no cost this year, although Barkus welcomes donations so that they can continue to support animal rescue and welfare groups.
How can I donate?
Click here to donate in increments of $10 to Barkus. To donate more, increase your quantity (i.e. 2 items = $20 donated to Barkus). All donations are tax deductible.
If you would like to make a larger donation to Barkus and are unable to do so on the website please contact us at info@barkus.org.
Will there be a Royal Court this year?
We have a King and a Queen this year, but we will not have a full court this year.
Is there a theme for 2021?
Yes, it’s “Bone Alone: Barkus at Home But Not Alone.”

Is there 2021 merchandise available?
Yes. The poster, t-shirt and face mask designed by artist Matt Rinard, can be purchased right here!
